AEO basics
What answer engine optimization is, and why it now decides who gets the customer.
What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of making sure AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google’s AI recommend your business when customers ask them for the best option. Instead of ranking blue links, AEO gets your brand named and cited directly inside the AI’s answer.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO is about ranking blue links so people click through to your site. AEO is about being the answer — the business the AI actually names when someone asks for a recommendation. With AI answers increasingly zero-click, if the AI doesn’t name you, you never get the chance to compete.
What is the difference between AEO and GEO?
They win two different AI channels. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) gets your business named when someone asks an AI-powered search for a recommendation — like “best plumber in Austin” — by adding customized llms.txt, structured schema, answer pages and FAQ pages to your site, built from what AI actually says about you today. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets you recommended inside direct conversations with LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok, which only name businesses they see as authoritative — so GEO builds that authority on top of your AEO files. Both are done-for-you at MyFast: this platform (aeo.myfast.ai) runs the AEO audit and builds your custom fix files; our sister service geo.myfast.ai continually publishes the authority content for GEO.
Why does AI visibility matter for my business?
Because a growing share of buying research now ends inside an AI answer instead of on a results page. When someone asks an assistant for the best option in their area, the assistant names two or three businesses. If you are not one of them, you never enter the consideration set — there is no second page to rank on and no link for the customer to click.
What is a zero-click search?
A zero-click search is one where the person gets their answer directly from the search or AI interface and never visits a website. AI Overviews and chat assistants are pushing more searches into this pattern, which is why being named inside the answer itself now matters more than ranking a link below it.
What is llms.txt and do I need one?
llms.txt is a plain-text file at the root of your domain that tells AI crawlers, in their preferred format, exactly who you are, what you sell, where you serve and what makes you different. It is one of the fastest AEO wins available. Every MyFast AI audit generates a customized llms.txt for your business based on what the engines currently say about you.
Does AEO replace my SEO?
No — it sits on top of it. Traditional SEO still drives classic search traffic, and much of it (clean structure, crawlability, accurate business data) also helps answer engines. AEO adds the layer SEO never covered: machine-readable facts, answer-shaped pages and structured data written specifically so an AI can quote you with confidence.
The report
What we actually test, what you receive, and how long it takes.
What does the MyFast AI AEO report check?
We generate 100+ real buyer searches people actually type — “near me”, “best”, price and comparison queries — and run every one through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI and Google. We record whether your brand is Cited, Named, or Not Found, then give you a Findability Score and an exact fix plan.
Which AI engines do you test?
Every search is tested across seven engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI and Google’s AI Overviews.
Does MyFast AI show me exactly what each AI said?
Yes. Unlike tools that only give you a score, we open the black box: for every buyer search we show which specific engine recommended you or a competitor, the exact phrase that triggered it, and the AI’s word-for-word answer — so you can see precisely where you are Cited, Named, or Not Found.
How long does a report take to run?
About 6 minutes per 100 searches. A 100-search report takes roughly 6 minutes; a 400-search report can take a little over 24 minutes. Your report is shown on screen, saved to your dashboard, and emailed to you as a PDF.
What is a Findability Score?
The Findability Score is a single 0–100 number that sums up how visible your brand is across every engine and every search we test. It is built from five equally weighted parts: Foundation, Brand Recognition, Authority, Content Coverage and Ranking Share.
Where do the 100+ buyer searches come from?
They are generated from your business details — your category, services, target audience and service area — and shaped like the questions real buyers type: “near me”, “best”, “cheapest”, “open now”, comparison and problem-first queries. They deliberately never include your brand name, because searching your own name only proves the engine can read your website.
What is the difference between Cited, Named and Not Found?
Named means the AI mentioned your business in its answer. Cited is stronger — the AI both mentioned you and pointed to your site or a source about you. Not Found means the engine answered the buyer’s question without you in it, and named someone else instead.
Do I get the report as a file?
Yes. Every report is displayed on screen, saved permanently to your dashboard, and emailed to you as a PDF you can forward to your team or your web developer.
Can I compare myself against specific competitors?
Yes. You list the competitors you care about when you set up the report, and we track share of voice — how often each of you gets named across the same buyer searches — so you can see exactly who the engines are recommending in your place.
How often should I re-run my report?
Monthly is the pattern that works best for most businesses. AI models, their training data and their live sources all change continuously, and fixes take time to be picked up. Re-running monthly shows whether your Findability Score is actually moving and which engines have re-learned your business.
Fixing what we find
What you do with the findings, and what we hand over.
What happens if an AI gets my business wrong?
We flag it. MyFast AI identifies where AI engines misrepresent your business — wrong hours, services, prices or claims — and gives you correction outreach steps for Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple and the data aggregators that feed the assistants, so the engines re-learn the correct facts.
What is the Developer Bundle?
The Developer Bundle is a one-time $499 package of ready-to-publish files — your llms.txt, structured schema, answer/FAQ pages and sitemap — with step-by-step instructions. You hand it to your web developer (or publish it yourself); no coding agent required. It applies the exact fixes our audit recommends.
What exactly is in the Developer Bundle?
A customized llms.txt, structured schema markup for your business, answer pages and FAQ pages written from the real buyer questions we tested, an updated sitemap, and a step-by-step install guide. The files are generated from your own audit results, not a generic template.
Can my own developer install the files?
Yes — that is exactly what the bundle is designed for. Everything is plain HTML, JSON-LD and text files with written instructions, so any web developer or website platform admin can publish them without needing to understand AEO.
How long until AI engines pick up my changes?
It varies by engine. Engines with live retrieval, such as Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT search, can reflect changes within days of re-crawling. Answers drawn from model training data move far more slowly. This is why we measure with repeat audits rather than promise a fixed timeline.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend me?
No, and you should be careful with anyone who does. No one controls the output of a model they do not own. What we can do is measure precisely where you stand today across seven engines, fix the technical and factual reasons engines skip you, and re-measure so you can see real movement.
Pricing & membership
What it costs, what recurs, and how to stop.
How much does a report cost?
Your first report is $99 for the first 100 buyer searches (plus $49 for each additional 100) and includes a $19.99/month membership. Membership lets you re-run your audit anytime to track progress and re-test at $49 per 100 searches — about 51% off the $99 first-report rate. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
What does the $19.99/month membership include?
Membership keeps your AI visibility monitored over time. It lets you re-run your audit whenever you want to see if your fixes are working, unlocks the member re-test rate of $49 per 100 searches (about 51% off the $99 first-report rate), and keeps every past report saved in your dashboard. It is bundled with your first report and you can cancel anytime.
Is the membership required?
The $19.99/month membership is bundled with your first report because it is what keeps your audit history, progress tracking and discounted re-tests available. You can cancel it at any time from your dashboard and keep the reports you have already run.
How do I cancel?
Open your dashboard and cancel the membership there — it takes one click, with no phone call required. You keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Do you offer refunds?
Reports are generated on demand and consume real AI engine usage the moment you run them, so a completed report is not refundable. If something went wrong with your report, call us at 1-888-303-6415 any time and we will make it right.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, processed securely by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and are never stored on our servers.
The company
Who is behind MyFast AI and how the products fit together.
Is MyFast AI part of a larger company?
Yes. MyFast AI’s AEO platform (aeo.myfast.ai) is one of three products from MyFast.ai. The others are a Generative Engine Optimization service (geo.myfast.ai) that publishes citation-ready content to your site, and an AI Phone Agent (agent.myfast.ai) that answers your calls 24/7.
How does MyFast AI compare to other AEO tools?
MyFast AI tests all seven answer engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI and Google — on real buyer searches, shows you the verbatim AI answers, flags where AI gets your business wrong, and hands you ready-to-publish fix files. Most tools track fewer engines and stop at a dashboard score. See a full side-by-side at https://aeo.myfast.ai/compare.
How do I check if my business appears in ChatGPT?
Don’t search your own name — that only returns your own info. Instead ask the category questions a customer would, like “best [service] in [city]” or “who should I hire for [need]?” across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI. MyFast AI automates exactly this: we run 100+ of those blind buyer searches across seven engines and report where you are named, cited, or missing.
Who founded MyFast.ai?
MyFast.ai was founded by Benjamin Heckendorf, Founder & CEO, a software builder with more than 25 years in the industry who has built numerous businesses and software applications. MyFast.ai is not an anonymous brand — there is a named person accountable for every product on it.
